WHY NOT JUST HIRE

What an in-house hire actually costs.

Hiring is the right answer sometimes. These are the three reasons it often isn't.

The vacancy is the expense

A senior engineer takes months to find and onboard, and the roadmap doesn't pause while you search. The recruiting fee is the visible cost; the quarter you lost is the real one.

You need a team, not a person

Most work that matters needs engineering, product judgment, QA and infrastructure. Hiring one strong individual contributor leaves the other three gaps for someone to absorb.

Headcount doesn't scale down

A roadmap that changes shape leaves you with the wrong team and a severance conversation. Scope-based engagement scales both directions without that.

BY STACK

Pick the skill set you're short on.

Each page covers what we actually build with that stack, what we mean by senior in it, and the questions worth asking any engineer you evaluate. We only list technologies we can staff seniors in — if a stack isn't here, we'd rather tell you than sell you.

STILL DECIDING

Not sure whether to hire, outsource, or extend what you run?

FAQ

Hiring through us, answered.

Is this staffing or a development team?

Either, and the distinction matters more than the label. A dedicated team takes the scope and owns delivery end to end with its own technical owner. Staff augmentation embeds our senior engineers into your existing team, under your process and your tech lead. Both run on the same fixed monthly fee by scope and the same weekly release cadence — what changes is who is accountable for the outcome.

How is this different from hiring through a marketplace?

A marketplace sells you access to individuals and leaves integration, judgment and accountability with you. We work as a team with a named technical owner, and the engagement is priced by scope rather than by the hour, so nobody profits from a longer timeline. If what you actually need is one contractor for six weeks, a marketplace is genuinely the cheaper answer and we'll say so.

What does it cost to hire developers through Fuix?

A fixed monthly fee set by the agreed scope, not an hourly rate. The minimum term is 6 months with quarterly renewal. It lands below the loaded cost of hiring engineers of the same seniority in the US, and unlike a hire there is no recruiting, payroll, benefits, equipment or severance attached. The first call gives you the number for your specific scope.

How quickly can engineers start?

Weeks, not quarters. The first call takes 30 minutes and produces a roadmap with scope, cost and timeline. Once you approve it we assemble the team and something ships to production in the first weeks — there is no months-long discovery phase billed before anything works.

What time zone do your engineers work in?

Chile, UTC-3, which puts us one to two hours ahead of US Eastern and further ahead of Central and Pacific. In practice that's a full business day of overlap with any US team — standups, reviews and decisions happen live rather than in a thread that resolves tomorrow.

Do we own the code your engineers write?

Yes, from the first commit. Code lives in your repositories, infrastructure runs in your cloud accounts, and we build on a modern, maintainable stack so your team can sustain it without us. Nothing has to be migrated out of a vendor's tenancy if the engagement ends.

What if we need a stack that isn't listed here?

Ask. The pages here cover the stacks we work in day to day, and we deliberately don't list technologies we can't staff seniors in — a page promising expertise that evaporates on the first call wastes everyone's time. If your stack is adjacent to what we do, we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right team.
